There is a new initiative going on starting next year that I am happy and excited to be a part of .
It is the 30K Challenge with Online Money Bloggers.

This challenge will push me to start looking at different blogging revenue streams online and attempt to generate an income doing so. Do I think I can make 30k? Heck no, but it will be fun trying. I am aiming for close, and I will be very happy if I am successful at meeting the goal. This will also help me finish off my student debts faster and propel me further down my 36 Month Goals.
Online Money Bloggers is the idea of Derek from Life and My Finances and Corey from 20′s Finances. This is a great way to inspire and motivate bloggers to push themselves. I very excited about this, and have been thinking up some new ideas and have big plans for the new year. Here is hoping to make an extra 30K. The updates are going up on Online Money Bloggers. You should stop by and check it out.

A lot of you are joining this challenge – good luck! I may regret not joining, too, but I just don’t think $30K is a realistic goal for me for 2012. Maybe in the future, though……
I love competition and I think this will motivate me. I don’t think I am getting to that point yet, but it will be fun to try.
Good luck! I’m really looking forward to learning from everyone’s experiences. I hope they do this again next year, too, because I’ll qualify by then.
I am excited to take on this challenge. I know I will have to step outside of my comfort zone to reach success. It should be fun!!
@Penny- I just got qualified with my Alexa ranking, and I super excited- I think you should go along with it anyway and see what happens
@Lisa- Yes, it should. Good luck to you too. I hope we get somewhere close.
Can’t wait to see you get your $30k Marissa! Corey and I hope to help everybody reach this goal, so let’s kick butt in 2012!
Derek, Im so pumped. I am also realistic, but pumped nonetheless.
Marissa, along with my Alexa rating being too high (I think I just dropped below 800,000 today) I won’t hit 3 months of blogging until after the new year. Given that I’m still trying to figure out the voice and scope for my blog and get used to the added responsibilities of keeping up with everything, I’m find with sitting this one out. I will definitely be watching everyone and reading everything that gets posted to the challenge website and I will start implementing the ideas that I like. I think I can learn a lot from the challenge even if I’m not participating in it.
The first few months are a bit rough, so you’re definitely doing the right thing. I love watching new blogs grow, and I’d here if you need help with anything.
I’m in the same boat as you with finding the voice and attitude of the blog that I’ve got. I know what one of the purposes is, but I also know that I need to offer something more. The challenge sounds wonderful, though, and I know that as soon as I’ve got this down a little bit more, I’m going to boost the amplification to the moon!
Thank you for helping out and making us all aware of the online money bloggers.
$30k? That’s pretty ambitious. I like to break things down into bite-sized pieces. How does only $82/day sound?
Good luck!
Even better! Are you taking part?
Ha-ha, maybe if I were a full-time blogger that would give me something to strive towards. For a part-time gig, I’ll just take what I can get
