$900 GIVEAWAY: Turkey is blowing my mind

August 1, 2013

I’m not sure if I shared this already, but I’m in Turkey right now on a media trip. Its 4:05pm and I’m sitting on the 15th floor of the Conrad Istanbul taking in the sights and sounds of the city.

Seeing as its my third day in the city, I’m not quite sure if its actually the most exciting vacation I’ve ever taken, but its right up there. The other people that I’m travelling are beyond amazing and getting to know everyone is a treat.

I will post a full recap of Turkey, Chicago, and Niagara shortly, but for now enjoy some of the most of my favorite views.

Most exciting vacation ever? My honeymoon with my wife. We did touristy things, went for long drives, hiking, spa, learned falconry, ate exotic food. Excellent all over.

      Where did you go?

I’m hoping my best vacation ever is coming up next month. I’m going sailing with a South African couple I’ve never met in the Kuna Yala islands of Panama.

      That sounds exciting!

Probably going to Egypt. But I’m taking off for a quick trip to Costa Rica next week, so maybe that will be the new top of the list! Thanks for running this giveaway.

    • Marissa August 5, 2013 at 8:38 pm

Egypt and Costa Rica are both on my travel list.

Wow can’t wait for the recap! When I hit travel shows and ask about which country I need to visit, Turkey was mentioned a few times. Great people. Do you agree? I’m getting a feeling that you will. Safe travels!

I loved it! This was a different experience than how I normally travel, but in a good way.

I can’t wait to see the recap! I’ve been wanting to go to Turkey for years, but it’ll likely have to wait until the kids get older. My younger brother went there a few years ago and absolutely loved it. Have a great time!

I just had nearly my best vacation ever in Cabo–it was free. But I had to work hours a day :). Still better to work in Cabo then in the States right??

Hope you are enjoying your trip!!

My most exciting vacation ever was definitely when I didn’t have to pay for it! I was 16 and my mom took me to Mexico. It was my first time on an all inclusive and I had so much fun!

  • petra August 13, 2013 at 8:32 pm

Driving through several states in Mexico. Very beautiful and definitely an adventure!
